Drexel University Sacramento Student Organizations
Drexel University Sacramento students are passionate, motivated, and engaged members of the Sacramento community. Over the past several years, our Sacramento students have founded a number of diverse student organizations.
The Sacramento Graduate Student Association (SGSA) was founded in Spring 2009, when the organization was formally recognized by Drexel University's Sacramento Center for Graduate Studies. The SGSA functions as a representative government for the graduate students.
In October 2012, the Sacramento Graduate Student Association (SGSA) approved the formation of Drexel University Sacramento's first Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Allies (LGBT-A) resource group. The group is called "Dragon Pride: An Equality Advocacy Alliance" and their focus is to "…promote understanding, and unity among the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT), and allied communities at Drexel University Sacramento."
The Financial Management Association (FMA) is the premier academic and professional membership society in finance with active chapters at universities around the world. The Drexel FMA chapter was founded by students in Sacramento in 2012. Membership is open to all students enrolled in the MSc in Finance and Masters in Business programs who are interested in developing and disseminating knowledge about financial decision making.
