Curriculum
Drexel's top-ranked MSHE program combines on-campus and online courses. You enter and progress through the two-year program in a cohort of students, meeting on-site one night per week and joining in highly-interactive online learning. The MSHE degree won the 2009 "best practices in distance learning" award from the U.S. Distance Learning Association.
The core curriculum includes courses in the following:

- Governance in Higher Education
- Student Development and Management
- School Law and Politics
- Outcomes
- Assessment and Continuous Improvement
- Leading High Performance Organizations
All MSHE students earn a primary concentration in Higher Education Administration & Organizational Management. Drexel offers optional three-course secondary concentrations in:
- Enrollment Management
- Institutional Research and Planning
- Academic Development, Technology & Instruction
- Student Affairs*
- Community College Leadership*
(*Available only at Drexel Sacramento)
Students not choosing to pursue a secondary concentration will select three education elective courses of their choice.
