Dear Board Members, Students, Staff and Faculty:
Happy New Year and welcome back for the Winter/Spring term of the 2015-2016 academic year. I hope each of you had a wonderful break with family and friends and are feeling rejuvenated following an uplifting holiday season.
I am very excited to begin our new transition at the University of Pacific campus, where we will continue to offer our unique brand of Drexel University Sacramento programs and ultimately graduate the class of 2016!
We have said goodbye to One Capitol Mall, but remain excited about settling into our new UOP campus home in Oak Park. As we adjust to new surroundings, I want to ensure all of you that we are committed to offering the same high level of service, instruction, and opportunities to students through graduation this summer.
Nothing has changed regarding my commitment to Drexel. My door is always open, so please stop by if you have any questions, concerns, or just want to chat for a few minutes. Although we understand that there will be adjustments, our goal is to make this transition as smooth as possible for our faculty, staff, and students.
Education, community involvement, and alumni engagement remain top priorities for all of us. We want to ensure that we never stop learning, even once we have earned those degrees. We want to maintain our commitment to stay active in our communities, give back, and help others who may not be as fortunate. And finally we want to ensure that our alumni network remains strong to assist with career advancement and improvement.
While we have moved to a new location, I know that we will all continue to serve as ambassadors for not only Drexel, but the students, faculty, staff, and alumni who have made the university a remarkable place to learn and work.
I am eager to continue the work we have set forth at the start of the academic year.
Have a great term and Go Dragons!
