Welcome Back from Dr. Michael Marion Jr.

September 21, 2015

Dear Alumni, Students, Staff and Faculty:

I want to personally welcome all of you back as we begin our fall classes and the start of the 2015-2016 school year.

As we begin the new academic year, I would like to highlight a few of the changes and collaboration efforts underway at Drexel University Sacramento.

First, thank you to all of you for continuing to serve as ambassadors for Drexel during this time of transition. The time and energy you have made to ensure we maintain a high level of engagement with the community is remarkable and is making a profound statement to the type of board members, staff, faculty and students we have here at Drexel University Sacramento.

This year will be a time of change and transition for our campus. Our agreement to work with the University of the Pacific will allow us to continue to offer vital Drexel University Sacramento programs to ensure students can complete their degrees as we phase out operations at One Capitol Mall.

The Pacific and Drexel partnership is a testament to two great universities coming together to support students, faculty, staff and the entire greater Sacramento region. Both universities are committed to offering the same high level of service, instruction and opportunities to new and returning students through graduation.

For alumni, I look forward to continuing to build our professional network to create not only a resource for your careers but to ensure we leave a lasting impact on our community and region. The alumni network will remain a vital part of Drexel's legacy long after the final student earns their degree.

For new students, I look forward to getting to know each and every one of you, and guiding you through your first year at Drexel.

For returning students, alumni, faculty, staff, and board members, I am eager to build on our relationship and continue our efforts to make Sacramento one of the best cities in the country.

Good luck this school year to all and Go Dragons!

Dr. Michael Marion, Jr.
