Drexel Sacramento officially moves to University of Pacific Sacramento campus (McGeorge School of Law)

DUS will begin moving to Pacific after the end of Fall Quarter (mid-December of 2015). Students will officially be at Pacific’s Sacramento campus beginning January 4th, 2016 and will remain there through the end of summer 2016 term classes.

When does Drexel officially move to University of Pacific Sacramento campus (McGeorge School of Law)? How long will we be there for?

DUS will begin moving to Pacific after the end of Fall Quarter (mid-December of 2015). Our campus at One Capitol Mall will officially be closed as of December 12th at 5:00 PM. Students will officially be at Pacific’s Sacramento campus beginning January 4th, 2016 and will remain there through the end of summer 2016 term classes.

Where will the Drexel Administrative Offices be located?

Drexel University will be operating out of the University of the Pacific’s Sacramento campus, which is located at

3200 5th Avenue, Sacramento, CA 95817. The Drexel Administrative Offices will be located in the Muddox building, located at the corner of 5th Avenue and 35th Street.


Will I be a University of Pacific student or will I remain a Drexel University student?

All of our students will remain Drexel University students and will obtain a Drexel degree.

Will there be a student orientation?

Yes. Student Life will be conducting two orientation sessions for students. The sessions will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 12:00pm and Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 5:30pm. Students may attend either session, as the same information will be provided at both sessions. If you are unable to attend either session, you may contact Emily Dutch for information.

Will any student services and resources be offered at University of Pacific Sacramento campus?

Drexel will continue to provide the same services that have been available to our students. Additionally, students will have access to the cafeteria, library, computer lab, and gym on the Pacific campus. IRT, Student Life, and Career Services will be available to you, with Career Services being available even after you graduate.

Will I have to pay for parking?

You will not have to pay for parking, however parking permits are required for parking in Pacific lots. You will receive a parking pass at orientation to allow you to park at no cost. You will also receive a map of campus parking lots (PDF) for your convenience. Security escorts will be available upon request.

Where will classes be held?

DUS will have specific buildings where Drexel classes will be held. Please check your class schedule for specific room numbers.

Will we be taking classes with UOP students?

No. All students will remain with their cohort and obtain a Drexel diploma.

Can I use my Drexel ID to access the buildings and resources at Pacific?

No. You will be provided a new Drexel ID/access card at the beginning of winter quarter/spring semester. This new ID card will allow you access to the resources on the Pacific campus.

Will there be changes to the campus schedule and class schedules?

No. You will continue with your plan of study and your classes will remain on the same schedule of dates and times.

Will there be a conflict between Drexel and Pacific holiday schedules?

Drexel will most likely honor Pacific’s holiday schedule to avoid any conflict with schedules and access to campus. Information will be provided prior to any holidays not currently observed by Drexel.
