Six Drexel Graduates make Sacramento Business Journal’s 40-40 list
It’s always a tremendous honor to be included on this esteemed list. It means you are one of the most accomplished young business professionals in the Sacramento Region.
The Sacramento Business Journal’s annual 40 Under 40 list came out this week and included six graduates of Drexel University Sacramento. That means Drexel grads made up 15 percent of the 40 winners, who are all under the age of 40.
According to the Sacramento Business Journal, the 40 winners were selected by a panel of independent judges from a very competitive group of nominees.

The Sacramento Business Journal says, “Sacramento's future is in good hands. Judging from this year's 40 Under 40 winners, there's no shortage of bright, innovative and passionate individuals who are driven to make a difference in our community.”
"It is certainly cool to be included on the 40 Under 40 list this year. It’s a great honor for me and all the Drexel graduates that made the list this time,” said Lee, a flight surgeon at Beal Air Force Base. “Drexel University has been a tremendous addition to Sacramento and offers a wonderful, nurturing educational environment, while also mentoring the next generation of leaders in our region. I hope to use this opportunity to further my service to the great city of Sacramento."
A year ago, there were three Drexel graduates on the 40 Under 40 list: Karen Nelson, Alex Taghavian, and Jeff Dern.
“Having six graduates make the 40-Under- 40 list from Drexel Sacramento is an incredible honor and a testament to what we are trying to achieve,” said Michael Marion, Executive Director and Associate Vice Provost of Drexel Sacramento. “Drexel provides students with the tools they need to be innovative, ground-breaking leaders in their respective field. Part of our mission is developing a group of young working professionals who will become the leaders in making the Sacramento region a better place to live, work and play.”
The new 40 Under 40 members will be honored Wednesday, Nov. 19 at Mix Downtown, located at 1525 L St Sacramento. The event will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
