June 11, 2013 — Ed.D. alumna Jessica Kriegel has been selected to deliver the student address at the 2013 Drexel University Sacramento Commencement Ceremony. Kriegel was selected after being nominated by a classmate and interviewed by the student speaker selection committee.

June 6, 2013 — Drexel University Sacramento announced today that Robert Burris has been elected Chairman of its Board of Advisors. Burris, a Senior Vice President of the Sacramento Area Commerce and Trade Organization, will lead the 24-member board, which advises Drexel on its programs and plans for the future.
May 14, 2013 — Arvin Magusara was recently hired by Sutter Medical Network to a newly created position as a Senior Program Analyst. He will be joining the inaugural "Risk Adjustment Factor" program team that will be a new innovation as large health care organizations like Sutter prepare for the Affordable Care Act.
March 26, 2013 — Kaiser Permanente is partnering with Drexel University's Philadelphia-based medical school to bring as many as 16 third-year medical students to work and train in the Sacramento region.
January 16, 2013 — Drexel University Sacramento named John Carvana to a newly created position as manager of career services. Carvana will play a key role with the launch of Drexel University Sacramento's new Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program in Fall 2013.

November 9, 2012 — Drexel University Sacramento today announced it will begin offering its first undergraduate program in Sacramento in the fall of 2013. The university will launch a full-time undergraduate program in business for students who have finished at least the first two years of their undergraduate education.

August 8, 2012 — Ron Ordona is a registered nurse who received a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Drexel University’s College of Nursing and Health Professions in 2010. Ordona’s schoolwork included a business plan that he’s now successfully using to develop a new model for residential-care homes.
July 19, 2012 — Drexel University graduate Jose Bodipo-Memba was presented with the Oxholm Leadership Award at Drexel University's commencement for the University's Center for Graduate Studies in Sacramento. An MBA graduate, Bodipo-Memba was among the 110 students who were awarded master's level diplomas June 23 at Sacramento's historic Crocker Art Museum.

The event is hosted in collaboration with the Sacramento Valley Veterans, a Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) veteran’s association with national affiliation to American Veterans for Equal Rights (AVER) and has a major sponsorship by Drexel University, Center for Graduate Studies. Never before has Sacramento seen a black tie gala event to kick off its own Gay Pride Weekend.
