Melissa Williams joined Drexel University Sacramento in 2013 as Manager of Campus Operations. In her role, Melissa is responsible for the operations management of the Sacramento Campus, which includes budget management, facilities management, procurement coordination, human resources coordination as well as management of campus records and archives.
Melissa brings to Drexel a background in business having worked in the Insurance industry. She was a Senior Workers' Compensation Claims Professional with The Harftford, in which she specialized in successfully managing work place injury claims for the California jurisdiction. Prior to this, Melissa worked for Travelers and has extensive experience and training in both auto and workers' compensation insurance that span both personal and commercial lines of business, including dedicated large accounts and bodily injury.
Melissa is a proud Senior Fellow of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Program (NELP) and is the current Vice President of the Nehemiah Emerging Leaders Alumni Association (NELAA) board. She is active in her community and is currently serving as Secretary on the Sacramento Tree Foundation board as well as an active member of Metro Edge.
Melissa holds her Masters of Business Administration from Drexel University, and is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma business honors society. She also holds her BA degree from the University of California, Riverside in Political Science. As a resident of East Sacramento, Melissa enjoys frequenting McKinley Park and hosting dinner parties.
