Director, Student Life Programs
Emily Dutch joined Drexel University Sacramento in 2009 as a Program Manager for the Goodwin College School of Education. After two years as a Program Manager, she was promoted to the Associate Director of Student Life in 2011. Emily oversees programming and campus activities for students and alumni across all programs at the Center. Additionally she works very closely with the International student population, serving as the Designated School Official (DSO) for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement under the Department of Homeland Security.
Emily relocated to Sacramento from Marin County to work for Drexel. She has worked in the field of higher education for over twelve years. She has held positions across many areas of Student Life and Services including, residential life and housing, admissions, academic advising, and financial aid and scholarships. She also spent three years working for an educational non-profit in Marin that served underrepresented students from first-generation and low-income families. She provided counseling and mentoring to students and their families on issues related to college access and educational equity.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of the Pacific. She also graduated from the Master's of Science in Higher Education program at Drexel University in March 2012 and is currently enrolled in Drexel University's EdD program.
