On January 5, 2009, Drexel University opened the Center for Graduate Studies in Sacramento, a living laboratory for cutting-edge graduate education that blends online and in-class formats.

In a blink of an eye, Drexel has tripled in size, enrolling more than 180 graduate students from the Greater Sacramento region – some from as far away as Truckee and Oakland. We are providing them with nationally-ranked academic programs in one of the state’s most high-tech learning facilities and helping to give these working professionals the knowledge and skills they will need to lead this region to a bright future.

On weekdays, area businesses, organizations, and associations take advantage of the Center's state-of-the-art facilities for conferences and presentations. On weekday evenings, the Center offers Sacramento area graduate students the opportunity to engage in Drexel's renowned master's and doctoral degree programs, taught by Drexel faculty, along with visiting corporate and civic leaders.

Drexel's Sacramento Campus has captured the DNA of its 119-year home in Philadelphia. The faculty who teach are Drexel faculty with full credentials in their fields: leaders in academic thought with impressive resumés demonstrating years of practical experience, and with the kind of accessibility students call “amazing.” Led by two of the University's senior administrators, the Center's staff has received high marks from students and friends alike.
